Sean Harris is the Chief Security Risk Officer and a partner at Intelligent Technical Solutions (ITS). He helps direct the company’s client facing security strategy, ensuring that risk management initiatives align with overall business objectives.
Harris oversees ITS’s 24/7 Security Operations Center, the Audit and Assurance team, and the Governance, Risk and Compliance practices for ITS's clients. These groups provide continuous threat monitoring, rigorous audit support, and structured risk assessment guidance to organizations across diverse industries.
Before joining ITS, Harris ran A Leap Ahead IT, an MSP, for 17 years, transforming it into an award winning managed service provider before its acquisition by ITS in 2023. This entrepreneurial background informs his pragmatic approach to cybersecurity, integrating compliance frameworks with operational realities and executive priorities.
A dedicated collector of professional designations, Harris holds an MBA, a Master of Science in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance, and an extensive portfolio of credentials that includes CISSP, CCSP, PMP, MCSE, CySA+, PenTest+, SecurityX, ISACA CISM, CMMC Registered Practitioner, and Certified CMMC Professional, among many others. He lectures in university level cybersecurity programs and actively mentors ITS staff, fostering continual learning and professional growth across the organization.
Outside the office, Harris balances intense HIIT workouts at the gym with an energetic home life centered on animal rescue. He, his two boys, and wife regularly foster pets, while their permanent menagerie, one vigilant cat, a devoted dog, and five charismatic backyard chickens, add lively unpredictability to every Sacramento day.
