Lose the Stress, but Never Time
Biotechnology is a highly competitive field, but it's all too easy for IT maintenance to get lost in the journey to innovation. Unmanaged IT can cause:
- Missed deadlines
- Unreasonable downtime
- High security risks
- Possible government fines
- Unnecessary stress
The two things a research organisation cannot replace are its data and its time. An instrument PC that cannot be patched, a dataset that outgrew a workstation and a collaborator who needs access to part of it are all the same problem in different clothes.

Hear It From A Life Sciences Client
“The technician did a great job and was thorough. The issue was fixed and ITS double-checked some background settings to verify those were correct and make sure there were no hacks or viruses from unwelcome emails. Thank you!”
Biotech IT Questions, Answered
4. What locations does Intelligent Technical Solutions serve?
ITS serves businesses across the United States. With a strong presence in key locations, you can easily connect with a local team to discuss your technology needs. Our main service areas include Chicago, Detroit, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Oakland, Olympia, Phoenix, Portland, Reno, Sacramento, San Francisco and Seattle. No matter where you are located in the US, ITS can provide the expertise you need to grow your business.
2. How do I reach support when something is down?
You can pick up the phone and reach a service coordinator, or open a ticket. If the issue is urgent we connect you with the next available technician, and a user or a system being down moves the request to the front of the queue. Support runs 24/7 for all our clients. You can also call us on 888-969-3636.
3. Can you support a validated environment without breaking it?
That is the whole question in a regulated lab, and the answer is that change control comes first. In a validated environment a patch is a change, and a change needs a reason, an approval, a record and a way back. So we work to your change process rather than around it, we keep the record, and we treat instrument PCs as what they are: machines you cannot freely update that still have to be defended. On 21 CFR Part 11 the requirement is electronic records and signatures you can trust, which in IT terms means controlled access, reliable audit trails and retention you can demonstrate. We implement and operate those controls. We do not issue validation and no IT provider can. For the long-form version of this page's subject, read the ultimate guide to managed IT for biotechnology.
