Rob Schenk

Chief Experience Officer 

Rob Schenk is Chief Experience Officer of Intelligent Technical Solutions and helps craft corporate strategies, develops our company culture, nurtures the next generation of modern leaders, and creates memorable experiences for both our team and our clients. He is also responsible for educating our client base on the importance of cultivating a security-first mindset and empowering businesses to protect their data. Rob is also co-founder and Managing Partner of ITS San Francisco.

Often describing his journey as "kind of falling into the IT industry" during the Dot Com boom, Rob started out as a network engineer and technical writer for Ziff Davis Publications, testing the latest tech hardware and software for review. In fact, Rob has over 200 published articles to his credit from industry leading magazines including PC Magazine, Computer Shopper, Windows Sources, and eWeek. He then took that broad, cross-platform experience and co-founded the IT consultancy, LanXpert, in 1996, which later rebranded as Intivix. The company would ultimately partner with ITS. With decades of experience under his belt, Rob has helped small to midsize businesses in the greater San Francisco Bay Area be more secure, efficient, scalable, and profitable.

Rob has often been described as having a zen-like calm, even in difficult situations. His mindful leadership style has helped him rally talented and highly-skilled people around him. A San Francisco native, he is also an active member of the East Bay ICT, a non-profit organization that brings business leaders, schools, and other industries together to brainstorm ways to prepare students to enter the technology industry workforce.

Despite his busy schedule, Rob likes to spend much of his free time with his family and energetic son, who plays baseball and shows a deep interest in science. He also enjoys family travel. Some favorite destinations include Japan, Europe, and Peru, especially the Andes and the Amazon basin in South America. Rob is also an active martial artist studying Aikido, a discipline that he has studied for over 20 years. He is also Chief Instructor at the dojo and enjoys watching his students learn and grow. He also likes to play guitar and cultivate his mindful meditation discipline.
